Well, I'm 6'2" and 235 lbs and have never been touched by my stock hammer in 25 years and thousands of rounds.
6' 2" and 235 lbs, doesn't tell much.

You could either be on the fatty side, or built like "the Rock".

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is also looking to replace their HP's too.
Maybe we'll all get lucky and all those Canuk and Aussie HP's will end up on the surplus market - if they don't melt them down for scrap steel...
Have a prewar Belgian made hi-power not sure what it's worth but it's a lot of fun to shoot with the repro shoulder stock.
Here is my mid 1970 C Series shooter Hi-Power.

Thank you. That is not a possibly prewar. That is definetely a prewar. And it was Belgian military.
Yep, Fabricaciones Militares of Argentina (FM) was licensed by FN to make copies of the Hi-Power. FN was very strict and even had their own people do the final inspections. They are excellent quality Hi-Power clones. Although the finish isn't near as good.![]()
FM did indeed make a Detective Model which had a 1 inch shorter slide and barrel. The frame is steel. Absolutely wonderful pistol.
Go back to my picture in post #3. That's a FM Detective on the bottom.
I think somebody did make an alloy framed Hi-Power at one time, but just who escapes me at the moment.
A little help here?
What should it sell for?
Back in the day (1970-80s) several gunsmiths did conversions of HPs into Compact guns........ Austin Bulhert (sp) was one.
Think Model 39 cut down to an ASP, Scorpion or Trapper.
Shorten both the butts and slide and magazines........ imagine a single action 6906.
Anyone got one??????
The only "Hi-Power" I currently own. An Argentine FM-90, late production, 3-dot sights, factory hard chrome finish. It seems to be accurate enough and reliable.
