Hickok45 Removed From Youtube

Terrible! I'm going to complain to YouTube, it's all I can do.
 
Perhaps it had something to do with his recent relationship with Bud's Gunshop. I began to feel he was becoming a shill for them, they certainly have no problem using him in their ads.

As far as his videos, I generally enjoyed them although some were a bit long. I wish I could shoot as well as he does.

When buds auctions off the guns he used in his review, hickok made sure they donated a portion to his local food bank.

Also regarding his extremely positive reviews, he said in the past if something he did turned out bad, then he wouldn't post a review.
 
My impression was that you usually get cancelled for copyright issues. Did he show a clip from a movie or some such in a review?

I have no idea what the rules for commercial use of Youtube are since BudK has their own channel, don't they?
 
Apparently it's related to his videos automatically being posted to his Google+ stream. He's working on getting it straightened out.

From hickok45's Facebook page:

"Apparently, Google + is more sensitive about firearms related postings and such. I never use Google+ and did not even realize the videos were being posted over there, I guess. I will keep you posted via Facebook here and the Hickok45andson channel. I have communicated with YouTube via email this morning, and hopefully, we'll be able to get the channel back up soon. I had just posted a new video."

Sad. I enjoyed his videos for the pure entertainment value. He is a heck of a shot and has a great setup that was interesting to see. If he had the fire and the belly and the forethought to have purchased hickok45.com he might be able to avoid Youtube altogether but I doubt he will go that route.

We shall see. It will be interesting to see if his side of this is posted on his son's channel but they might avoid that so as to not offend the mighty Youtube/Google. :mad:
