Some friends are coming over to celebrate my recent birthday so I've been "working" all day to make sure they don't go hungry. The first shot was from around 1 pm, 2 organic chickens and a pile of pork ribs with my bride's secret dry rub are just going in the smoker. Photo #2 is just a few moments ago before applying sauce to the ribs. This is gonna be good...

Oh my God! Why did I have to discover this post at this time of the night?
You sure know how to do it right!

Any left overs? Old Bear and I are going to come over and we won't be drinking diet iced tea.

Minnesota is a pretty good drive from here, but I could be there for dinner tomorrow night!

Man . . . that sure looks mighty tasty!

It was probably the best batch of bones I ever made. Sorry no leftovers, an old neighbor stopped by for a beer and polished them off. Don't despair, there's still a little home made blueberry pie left ...

We had a barbecued pig and an some briskets for a Hall Of Fame Party Friday night in Canton, Ohio. It was great, plenty and I mean plenty of food with all the sides. We had POP to us and Soda to most of you to drink, along with cold bottled water, Bottled, Canned, and Draft Beer, Homemade Wine from a little Italian friend, some Distilled Spirits too. We had a really fine time as we had the good company of about 200 folks in attendance. The party went on for hours and hours. Great Food, Drink, and Friends, it just doesn't get much better than that.

Black Sheep, That's some good looking grub. Just one thing though... Since it was your birthday shouldn't they have been cooking for you ?Hey since I live down south think your bride would share that dry rub recipe with me??? I've got a good one I'll swap with her.

Happy late b'day.
