Have you found her box of ear corn yet?

I always thought I was hiding them well, but she knew - now, if I'd put them in the barn or workshop, there is no limit to the number that could be hidden - I think. Smarter than given credit for for sure.

Well, I've never hid them around the house, but I have been known to leave them in the trunk of the car until a more opportune time.

There is a camera in the third button down on every button up shirt you own!
Be cautious!

Exactly, or sort of mix it in with the others. If she spots it act like you had it for a while, and you bought it at a hell of a deal. "They practically gave it away. Guess they really didn't want it anymore. Such a small deal that I really almost forgot about it. Want to go shoot it?"

.

Unless she is into guns, just bring it out like you do your other guns and she won't know the difference. Don't mention that you just got it. What ever you do, don't even think the word new.

My dad used to stash stuff in the garage. If my Mom spotted it, he would respond, "oh, that, I've had that for a long time." It ALWAYS worked.

this is a great thread! not too long ago, i had a Taurus 1911 and .45 (that I picked up for a good price) that she didnt know about. i told her after she had a few drinks. lmao she wasnt mad at all! now i need to repeat that in order to tell her about the Tantal i bought.

I keep most of my handguns at work so my girlfriend doesn't know what I have. She likes guns as much as I do. She expects that whenever I buy another gun, I have to buy two; one for me and one for her.

don't have this problem anymore. but here's the trick any way: the morning b4 you go to pick up your new purchase case up 2 or 3 guns that u allready own, and take them with you. now, when u get home she wont notice the extra one when you haul them all back inside.

I don't hide them any more. Used to. Used the line I have had this forever a few times. I just take the heat now days. I don't always say exactly what they cost. Did you know you can buy a brand new PC 952 for a few hundred bucks

Hope she never sells one because someone offered her twice what I paid for it.

rbert0005. Are you crazy? You do not know my wife.

New gun for me = credit card shopping spree for her and my daughter.

Some of my tricks:

I am working on it for a friend.

I traded an old XXXX for it, got a great deal.

I have had this forever.

When you get home, hide it in the garage till she goes to bed.

Every now and then pretend to sell a gun. One goes out, two come in.

I am going to have to try the one with a few drinks, it may work.

Yes, I am a coward when it comes to my dear wife.

I compare them to mutual funds and CDs, like they are investments. Get out an old gun value book, an up to date book, and a calculator. Keep talking until she loses interest.

My wife and I have only one rule. As long as the bills are paid she does not care what I buy when it comes to guns. We have and will continue to have, separate checkbooks. She has her money, her bills, and I have mine. So far after three years, no issues.

Not a problem here either, I just stopped buying guns so that I don't have to endure the harangue, but I can hide anything near the stove or oven - she never looks there.

Guess somebody has to break the mold - my wife buys almost as many guns as I. In the last three weeks she has bought a SxS coach gun and a Remington 597. Last year she decided to get her CC permit and immediately went to the gun shop to pick out her carry weapon. She will also see me looking at a gun and say you really like that one, why don't you buy it.
