High Round Count M&P 1.0?

I lost count about 11 years back at around 8,000 on this one. I do not know if that is high on your scale. I guess it may have doubled since then?

Maybe the .45 I just bought, lol. I don't really know. Though the bore looks perfect.

I have 15,916 rounds through my 1.0 M&P 40c. Of these, 2,528 are .357 SIG rounds from a recent Storm Lake barrel conversion. An unknown amount of additional rounds was fired by the factory when it was sent back for (free) repairs with around 10,000 rounds on it. It was sent back because it had developed occasional failures to fire. After replacing every moving part except the extractor, it was good as new, and it has been problem-free ever since.

I bought this used with an unknown number of rounds through it, although it was not a lot because the previous owner had light strike problems. It took me a while to get them sorted out, but since then in the last five years I have about 8,000 trouble free rounds through it with little noticeable wear. I have not even replaced the recoil springs. I only clean it about every 400 rounds with a complete deep clean about every 2,000. It's an EDC.

I have around 70,000 rounds through my 1.0 M&P 40 which I bought new in 2011. Maybe about 20k in 9mm using both just the 9mm barrel and mags and more recently, with a complete 9mm slide and mags. I am still on the original barrel and recoil spring and have replaced the magazine springs (10 rounders) once. The only parts that have broken has been the slide stop twice. The first time I was using it for years as a slide release. After the replacement, I was exclusively using it as a slide stop only and released the slide "slingshot" style. The left side broke both times. This was not an immediate problem because the slide lock is ambidextrous and I was able to lock the slide using the other side. For most of its life, I only had two 10 round magazines. Last year I bought 2 more so the wear on mag springs have gone down a bit.

It's obviously my favorite gun and I still put 100-400 rounds through it per week. Almost 100% of my rounds after the first thousand have been tumble lubed and powder coated Lee 401-175-TC's. I usually clean it about once a month or so although I have gone longer between cleanings.

Wow. That's something like $20,000 worth of ammo through a $450 gun?

I was using my version 1 .40 S&W in USPSA Limited 10 since 2006. Finally broke the striker block after 35,000 rounds. ( I kept the shipping boxes from Montana Gold as a means of keeping track)

Haven't shot USPSA for the last 4 years, but would not hesitate to grab it and resume.
