These were drawn while in high school class when I was 16. I would have been a sophomore. English class, mostly as I recall. I watched so many westerns I had guns and holsters pretty much memorized. That group shot started with just the card table then characters were added as I went along over a period of time. Oh. I passed that class just fine.

I wonder what would happen if a kid drew that in school today....?
Red flag!!! Back then in metal shop I made a cast in sand and it was an 1860 percussion colt mold that I of course chose to use. Couldn't do that now. That "gun" is hanging in my patio now. Here's one from the early 1990s. I never did finish the wrist cuffs...

Wyatt ! excellent artwork! And done in school is the best part. My art teacher for the last two years of HS told me several times I should talk to someone, Pythons, Troopers, Highway Patrolman, pen and ink was my weapon of choice. Also made a clay S&W that turned out pretty neat, the HS Narc at the time said it looked cool but be careful with it, imagine that happening today !
Always enjoy your posts.

Most dangerous weapon that I made in school was a straight pin with a wad of wet paper around it shot through a straw, to get rid of the flys at school.

When in grade school, I used a thin 5" rubber band, broken at the bend
and screeched back to 7-8" to hit a fly that was 4-5" away.

Now that was fun !!
