Today I met a gentleman to look at some S&Ws and a Marlin 39a. The Marlin 39a is my favorite 22 rifle so I committed to buy it and look at a couple of revolvers. When I got there I saw 2 circa 1975 or so 27-2s, and a 1968 Marlin 39a. All had the boxes, all accessories and were 99% plus. The man said "they were my uncle's and I don't think he ever shot them." They absolutely look NIB. It's not every day you see fine firearms in this condition and so complete. To find all 3 at once is mind boggling. We negotiated a price and I gladly paid him. I'm very excited with this purchase.
The 1968 price of the Marlin was $ 73.88! :)

Wow awesome score. A 5" 27-2 ANIB. That in itself would make me do a jig! The rest is just mind boggling. Congratulations! Right place right time.... You must be living right.... just WOW.

If it was a 5" 29-2 you would have heard me screaming all the way to Ohio !!!

A triple won city championships many years ago. Stayed at third to talk to the pitcher, my old nemesis. It was better than a home run to me, as with those guns to you. Great guns!
