Has anyone else developed a red, itchy rash after carrying their revolver IWB without a t-shirt in-between? This has happened to me twice, and took days to clear up. Hogue uses some kind of wax on their wood stocks, and because I have Hogues on all my EDC K-frames, I don't know if it's one gun or all of my wood grips.
Summer is coming, and it looks like I will have to wear an extra t-shirt instead of my usual Hawaii shirts.

Regards, 4 O'clock Itch

By any chance, did the grips arrive packed with one of those tiny desiccant packets? Some of them release a gas that can be highly allergenic. I have an expensive watch I can’t wear because of the gas that absorbed into the leather band.

What are the grips made of? Some of these exotic hardwoods are known for causing allergic reactions. One of the worst offenders is Libidibia ferrea from Brazil, usually sold as Rosewood, aka: Pau Ferro, Santos Rosewood, Brazillian Rosewood, etc. It's not only highly allergenic on it's own, it's known to be an allergen sensitizer.

Might want to try the Hogue G-10 grips. I use them against the skin without any reaction.
