I believe they are the same grip as the 500 and that's what I put on my 329. They work really well and do tame the 329.

While the stock rubber grips on the M500 are made by Hogue, I'm unsure whether they're the same as those aftermarket grips, and I would assume that if they were the same then they'd probably be marketed as replacement grips.

That being said, it's probably not worth spending the money on anyway seeing as punishing recoil just comes with the territory and it's doubtful that any grip could truly "tame" the recoil of a .500 S&W Magnum or turn it into a fun range gun by any stretch of the imagination.

I have new samples of each and if there is any difference, I can't see it. They appear to be exactly the same.

Download, my friend......

One thing about any magnum revolver cartridge is that they can be downloaded. No need to go full tilt all the time. I do the same with .357 and .44 mags.

Awesome, thanks. Yeah, they look identical to the model 500's with the exception of the logo.

I already have a pair on my old 629, was looking good another pair for the new one...

If you have the option to down-load your ammo, then why waste money on recoil-absorbing grips?

Anybody who is into handloading can obviously down-load a cartridge to reduce recoil, but I don't see the point of buying a Model 500 if you plan on using it primarily as a range gun. Sure, you could down-load the cartridge, but you can't change the fact that the gun itself is extremely heavy compared to other firearms.

Personally, if I wanted an extremely powerful handgun which I could use in a pinch against a bear yet still be shot comfortably at the range, then I would sooner opt for the 460XVR and feed it .45 Colt exclusively during range sessions.
