I just returned from a three-day business trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where my employer put up a bunch of us in the Holiday Inn Express on Cerillos Road.

Nice place, but when, through the public computer in the lobby work area, I went to check out how my compatriots on the Forum were doing, I got an error message that read "Prohibited Website: Weapons."

Wow. I had no idea that the gang of duffers (of which I proudly proclaim myself to be one) that populate this venue were such a clear and present danger to the public safety. I feel so much safer now I that know Holiday Inn Express has got my six.

Comments? Suggestions? [Keep it family friendly, folks.]

I would rather sleep in a dumpster behind McDonald's than sleep in a Holiday Inn. They screwed Steve McQueen when he went to collect his Jaguar XKSS that had been sitting in Bill Harrah's car collection. When Steve was going through his divorce from Neile Adams, she wanted him to sell the car as part of community property. Steve brought the car to Bill Harrah with the idea that Steve would retrieve that car after the divorce was finalized. Steve procrastinated, Bill died, and Bill's holdings were sold. After Holiday Inn bought Bill Harrah's company, they started to sell off his car collection. They made Steve buy his car back at auction.

Pay for unlimited data. Then you never have to consider these things. In addition, free public WiFi is one of the riskiest things y out can do with your device . . .

Did you know Steve? Seems like a long time to hold a grudge, especially since Holiday Inn has probably been sold six times since then . . .

Edit: That divorce was in 1972 . . .

The forum was blocked because you were using their public computer. Those computers are accessible by every guest at the hotel, including kids. So naturally they have software installed that blocks all "questionable" sites.
Porn, guns, alternate lifestyles, and a bunch of other types of sites would be inaccessible from that computer.
Not too surprising really.
