I have the std Sport 2 purchased last year, I wanted one with iron sights to get used to the "new to me" AR platform. Also am one that has issues trying to see thru scopes with my needed glasses. After some time with it, I wanted to try a reflex type sight and liked what I saw in the Holosun offerings. I picked up a 510c w/ green dot and took it to the range today for a couple mags worth before rain hit.

First impression was the green dot is a heckuva lot easier for me to see/work with than the stock sight, and I had no vision or clarity issues like i can have with scopes.
At 50 yards using cheap steel cased ammo, I was more than happy with the initial groupings. Now i can work on tightening them up. Never used a sight like this before and i still have under 200 rounds with my Sport 2. Which is my first AR.

I figure a sight that works for me is worth the cost so i can enjoy my hobby.

Had my 510C since 2018 on one of my pistols. Hard to beat. And a Dollar General baby bootie makes a great dust cover for it. lol

Just adding that I wont bother messing with adjustments much more until I am thru that cheap ammo and start running some better stuff. I could tell the occasional round almost sounded different/softer (thats what I am blaming on the 2 rounds that were lower lol), so am just using that stuff up to get more general time with the rifle in. That sight is already close and is easy to adjust once I am ready.
The main takeaway for me is trying a new sight was well worth it. I wont say one brand is better, etc but I can say this style works well for me. And for what my intended uses are for the Sport 2.
