I did a search and can't find what I'm looking for so I'm gonna toss it out to everyone. I am in search of an IWB all leather holster for a 2.0 9mm compact, I would like to have the grip and frame to have leather between it and me. I like the texture and do not want to sand it, at the same time it is (as those who carry one Know) very uncomfortable to carry.

So what do y'all have for recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Do you want full leather, or will a holster loke crossbreed hybrid work for you?

A hybrid will allow kydex shell yet still retain learher or other material between the weapon and your skin.

I was seriously considering Blackarch holster. The protius I think they called it. This also allows the shell to be replaced and converted. Has technology to allow breathing and wick away sweat and have ventilation.

Others have had good luck with aliengear shapshift or cloak tuck models. Similar hybrid with ability to trade shells or buy additional shell, so single holster can adapt to different weapons!

All leather ?? Ok I can tell you to order a a Nelson Leather holster as I know he makes quality holsters and if you want something custom he will do it . But I would also tell you to buy a Comp-Tac hybrid like there MTAC . I have used one of there old Neurtral models for 16 years with two kydex bodys for a kahr and 1911 and sig p250 for my p320c and a couple carry options . Few P320 holster 4.5 years ago so tried the p250 body and its fine !! The only difference between a MTAC and Neutral was factory cant design . I use the same cleaning & conditioners used on a saddle and the leather is soft and flexible and does not stink after all these years !! The hybrid design has a Kydex body between the leather and pants . The orginal kydex body is still slick inside and my wife has a 10 year old Comp-Tac Neutral with the 1911 body for a Kimber ultra after changing away from her m&p's . Order the body with a straight bottom and longer pistols like the 4.25 or 5" will still fit well . I used there C Clips on my belt , one set for all these years and I wear it at 3:00 position set with just enough cant to hide the mag /grip area and as high as possible .

I don't like a skinny holsters . The wider 2 clip holsters spread out the weight and reduce the chance of a hot spot some can get with skinny holsters .

Remember picking a holster is like picking a handgun theres plenty of them to go around that work well for many folks or they would not be around very long .

Good luck finding a rig you like !

Would like to stay with all leather, kydex isn't comfortable to me, if need be I'll see about getting one custom made or see if some extra leather can be added to my Side Guard holster. I did look at the Blackarch and liked what I saw.

I'll look at them and yes there are a lot of choices.

You do realize that a hybrid holster only puts the leather side in contact with you and that the kydex is only a shell that holds the gun, and has no contact with body/skin, correct?

Hybrid holster for IWB has been my preference for several years.

Personally I like the Galco King Tuk.

All I can add to this is this.....The grip texture on the 2.0 is murder on your skin. I don't have any recommendations on an IWB, I prefer all leather OWB and have a perfect rig and set up for my 4" 2.0 but I have to now wear a t-shirt. A "sweat shield" is not going to do any good preventing skin to skin contact. I do not wear t-shirts in the summer but to carry to 2.0 without one is impossible. Good luck on finding what you need...

All leather is really nice, but Alien Gear is probably your best bang for the buck. Instead of $70 for a Crossbreed, you're more like $35 with a full leather sweat shield protecting your hide. For a few bucks more you could go with their 3.0 version which is very comfortable.

Revisiting this, for the protection of your hide, take a look at the Talon Rubber grips. They come in a couple different colors, fit very well, and feel wonderful in the hand.

N82 tactical has a full-body cover. I have one; it's very good quality (it is a hybrid though) and SUPER comfortable, but it does come with a caution. This extra material protecting your skin/body can sometimes (often) infringe upon acquiring a full-firing grip. If you miss (because your thumb slides between your body and the material, instead of between the material and the frame), it could cost you... Personally, I just wear an undershirt, even in the 100 degree summer.

What holster do you have?

You're going to have to sandpaper/lightly dremel the grip on the 2.0 if carrying it IWB.

I'd put some chalk on your body and put on the holster/gun. Wherever there is chalk on the grip, sand it down until you're comfortable. The frontstrap is the most important and the outside of the grip is where the strong hand has the most real estate.

The part that is sanded down is minimal IMO. We've been shooting Glocks, 1.0 M&P, 1911s with smooth grips with no issues for decades. No reason a little less grip on the inside panel is really no big deal.

The grip panels are removable and if you really hate it, just get another one.

Not the same as stippling a Glock with a soldering iron and messing up (my friend wouldn't let me take pics). It did the job and was definitely improved in grip but was ugly enough to make the gun unsellable without taking $150 off the price.

Ladies & Gentleman... apologies for my ignorance. Tried to find it and could not post on the information forum.

Is there a way to post pics without using a 3rd party host/provider? They've always been a PITA IME. Can I simply upload directly to the site from my computer?

Thank you all and sorry for my ignorance

Dittos on the Talons, put them on my Shield 2.0 almost immediately and they are great with no lack of control on the grip..

I made a discovery about holster size quite by accident. I have owned and shot Sigs for years and am just the last few months I getting back into owning and shooting S & W's. I had my M&P Compact 4" and my 228 out together and realized that they are comparable in size so I wondered if the holsters might be inter-changeable. I had a cheap OWB for my 228 that no longer used so I stuck my M&P in and lo and behold it fit. I left it for a couple of days for it form to the M&P and carried it around the house for a several days. Tried several draws. Seem Ok so I took the next logical step and tried my M&P in my Milt Sparks IWB for my 228. It fit. Left it a couple of days for it to form better. Been using it ever since. Not the perfect answer but ......it works and it works well.
