For the medium and large frame revolvers a strong-side pancake style holster is hard to beat.

I have a DeSantis "Thumbreak Scabbard" for mine, it's okay but not great. The holster collapses when you draw the gun and it's hard to reholster.

Also, I just rec'd a rig that I had made by Black Hills Leather that came out very nice. He made me a holster for my L-Comp based on an "Askins Avenger" style with a metal reinforced mouth so I can reholster with one hand. He does very nice work.

What Lobo said.

I also have a Don Hume JIT Slide. For me it is okay, but not great. The pancake gives more support, and keeps the L-Comp in closer to my body. It also provides a little more protection for the gun. I tend to bump in to things in my job.

I have an old Bianchi ballistic nylon holster with snaps for belt loops. Dang thing was cheap as heck, but has a thumb break, is very lightweight, and was really cheap. This one goes to the range, and works very well with the L-Comp. It's just ugly as sin, and has about as much sex appeal as a used Yugo.

Since this thread keeps popping up I'll post a couple of pics of my holsters for reference.
