holster for a 637 wyatt gunsmoke?

I knw it's supposed to be a pocket gun. I would also like to hae a leather belt snap or no snap to carry it in at times and store it in when not in use. What frame is this gun? S&W just says small frame in discripton. Any suggestions for a holster for this gun?

It is a J frame. I would replace the holster grip with a standard grip if you want to holster it. But keep the original grips, 40 years from now someone will appreciate it. Please don't "store" it in a holster when not in use, better in a breathable cloth and in a dry place.

Stop in at your local gun shop... if you change the grips they should be able to find one for the 637. Galco, Bianchi, Fobus, and Hunter are just a few manufacturers. Keeping it under $50 might be a challenge.

Here's another vote for Lobo Holsters. It is a great holster at a reasonable price. E-mail Ray and he will advise you on his products that would meet your needs. I have two of his holsters and a mag carrier. Best stuff I own for carrying a gun.

I just acquired two J-frame holsters from another Forum member. I actually don't need both; one is a Fobus paddle holster and the other an old, leather Hoyt holster, sandwich design. Pretty cool, actually. If you want it send me a PM.

It is a J frame, however, I suggest you not carry it. If anyone sees you, you will be subject to scorn and ridicule for even knowing who those ridiculous "Gunsmoke" people are on that silly "reality" show.
