I'm looking for a holster that will fit my m&p w/ ambidextrous safety. I very much prefer leather. I'm extremely fond of the mitch rosen in the dillon catalog but don't know if it'll work w/ my safety. If I can't find a leather one I'll probably settle for the plastic raven. Anyone have any suggestions?

Not knowing which Mitch Rosen holster you're referring to it's kind of hard to make an informed recommendation, i.e.; IWB, OWB, price range, etc. Have you looked at Mitch Rosen's website?

I went the Raven Phantom route and now I wouldn't have any other holster. I have one made for the 5" M&P and the beauty of the Raven design is that if you get it made for the full-size version the smaller variations will also work. I use my Phantom for both my full-size M&P45 and my M&P9 Pro 4.25" version. There is a bit of a wait time on the Raven's but I believe that they are worth it. For what it is worth even a Raven that was made for a gun without the thumb safety will work just fine it will just cause the safety to be 'off' but that would be entirely up to you if you chose to carry that way.

I don't know if the have a 'quick ship' M&P holster for the thumb safety version but you'd only have to worry about it if you got the holster with the full body shield to begin with.
