Holster for my 1006

Ok, you guys got me talked into a 1006 (which I really like by the way), but now I cannot find the holster I want to carry it. I like the DeSantis Thumb Break Scabbards, but they do not list one for any of the 10XX or 45XX series guns. No Speed Scabbards either. So, I thought OK, I will just mosey on over to Galco and pick up one of their fine pancake style holsters. Nope, busto. Unless I want to carry it in a purse. They seem to have several styles on those. Now it's becoming a mission. After researching several sites on the net, the best I could come up with is the Bianchi 5 Black Widow. This seems like a very nice holster, and mostly what I am looking for, but I wish it covered the gun to the muzzle. Does anyone have suggestions for a nice black leather pancake style holster for my newly acquired 1006? Did DeSantis or Galco make models in the past and they are now just discontinued? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Your best bets are the for sale forums on this site and on 10MMtalk , other wise its Gunbroker , AuctionArms or Ebay .

Check with Greg Kramer at Kramerleather.com as I believe he is still producing many of the 3rd Gen. Smiths. I have a number of his #3 IWB's and love them. Might work for you as well.

The Cuda from Simply Rugged is a damn fine holster and it is made for the 1006. Simply Rugged makes the best holsters available for the price, in my opinion. The Cuda runs about 60 bucks, a bargain for the quality. I own a few from simply rugged, they are great.

Galco for full size 3rd gens...

I won this on GB for 18 bucks. It is a Galco belt slide and the numbers on the back are B719T with this series of numbers beneath it-CM292B. This holster fits my 4506 like a glove. I also have a smaller Galco belt slide made for a Glock 23 that also fits my 3rd gens with the square trigger guard ranging from my 4046 to my 5906.

I have a Kramer Belt Scabbard for my 1006, and I really like it. It covers the whole muzzle, but doesn't have a thumb-break, if that's what you're after.

numbers beneath it-CM292B. This holster fits my 4506 like a glove.

Galco keeps the number the same for what guns their holster fits, so if the CM (Combat Master) 292 B(Black), other holsters from them with the 292 will fit as well. If they have the Small of Back for it then the model number will be SOB292, or Miami Classic (MC292)

1006 Holster

Desantis did make a Thumb Break Scabbard for the 1006, I have one. I would try to Google it and see what you come back with. You might also try Mernickle holsters. Good luck.
