I recently picked up an older holster with the following markings;

Koslosky's
Dept. Store
Palmer,Alaska

97
Magnum
4 1/2

It is a single loop holster.
Trying to figure out what it would have been made for...RM 4 & 1/2 ????????
Will try to get a pic later.

I'll double check when I get home but that might be
an AE Nelson made holster. He made holsters for gun shops
& sporting goods stores all over the west. I think 97
was one of his model numbers- I'll check when I get home tonight.

It could be for the ideal handgun for bear country - The 97 Magnum.

Use to be an old Reited AK State Trooper who made holsters, can't for the live of me remember his name. I think his initals was T.S.

He made this holster for me when I retired from the Anchorage Police Department. Does excellent work and I think some of his holsters were sold in local shops.

4-1/2 was a standard length for the New Service.
