I like the way you trim the hydex. Very functional and elegant. My current IWB kydex doesn't have a sweatguard, which bothers me a lot. However, I do like the fact that the belt clip is the tuckable variety. I just prefer to tuck in my shirt. It's more comfortable on hot&humid summer days. Do you offer a version that is tuckable? Your Blackstone belt loop clip looks like it might be, but I am not sure.
BTW, why is it called Blackstone?
Thanks for noticing the way I do the shape, I don't actually cut the final shape... I have a more fluid approach. It means each holster comes out a little different but no corners anywhere near where skin may be.
Anyway, tuckable is something I am trying to find a strong and convenient solution for smaller guns. The Blackstone is indeed tuckable, but the strut is to long for anything small... hence the smallest gun option right now is for a G19.
The Blackstone works particularly well for appendix and at 4/5 o'clock on people that are up and down a lot as it floats a little more on the waist than the Treadstone without wandering.
Now, Blackstone...
Sir William Blackstone was an English jurist, judge and politician in the eighteenth century. He is most noted for writing the "Commentaries on the Laws of England". In short, he put common law, which is the basis of American law, into words that could be understood by most and taught from.
The Commentaries influenced John Marshall, James Wilson, John Jay, John Adams, James Kent and Abraham Lincoln, and remain frequently cited in Supreme Court decisions.
He was dominant influence on the drafters of the original Constitution and its Bill of Rights and most identifiably the 2nd Ammendment:
"these absolute rights being protected by the individual's right to have and use arms for self-preservation and defense."
He pointed out individual citizens were therefore entitled to exercise their "natural right of resistance and self-preservation, when the sanctions of society and laws are found insufficient to restrain the violence of oppression".
I was born and raised in England and have an English accent... it bothers me no end that the UK deliberately ignores a natural right... and a man that was of an incredible mind who if listened to, a lot of problems would be avoided today.
