I must admitt I have a thing for belts, sheathes, and holsters. I recently read a post on open bottoms and closed and the basket weave holster in the last post set me off. You could say I like the holsters as much as the gun. I think since I was a child and watched batman pull those really cool gadgets out his belt I was hooked. So a request to all you I would really like to see those belt knife gun holster ....etc set up. I'm not looking for just the bbq set ups, but they are more than welcome, I would like to see all the different set ups. Leather is my favorite plain, floral, basket weave, etc... post them if you got them. I remember seeing a few pictures here and there but haven't run across any threads as of yet. thanks in advance Doeboy

Thats exactly what I'm talking about keep em comming. though I have alot of holsters I don't have anything that floats my boat. I have a few cowboy holsters. Just the combination of leather steel and wood are a big part of the things i love.

I made this rig a long time ago. It is purposely lightweight and was designed to ride like the rig Jack Palance wore in Shane. The holsters ride far forward. And here's a couple others I made, too. Including a Hoppalong Cassidy rig and my version of a Wes Hardin vest rig. Oh, man! There's no S&W's in my pictures!

I didn't think of leather butt pads but what a great idea! i would love to see more open carry around just to see the different personalities in each holster. I think the art of matching a gun to leather, knife to leather, or even knife to gun is a real indication of ones personality. I love everything that has come through! keep it going I know there are more out there. How bout some pistol, rifle, knife rigs? How bout some rigs that you would wear just to go "walkabout" (croc dundee) in other words a rig you would take into the wilderness maybe gone a day or a month. I know you've thought about it. Doesn't matter if it's new or old, home made or store bought. Maybe even the rig you would wear when they put you in the ground or the rigs you would leave the kids. I want to see them all. Share the art with us show your pride and joy. DOEBOY

I picked this scabbard up in Mexico last month. My wife says it doesn't take much to amuse me. I couldn't believe Customs didn't even want to take a peek inside it.

This may not be what you were looking for, but I just found them on my old photobucket account. I tried to delete them but it wouldn't let me. Anyway these were all custom made by JRL Leather in Southington, Ohio, (Some were made earlier in his Newton Falls shop before he moved.), except for the top middle which might be a Bianchi 100R or a JRL, it's too hard to tell in the photo.

I would say for a first atempt at a tom 3 persons you did a great job. I wish I had the time to learn how to make holsters I have the patterns but no leather tools or time maybe when I get older. i think i would enjoy it. Thank you all for your post i have really enjoyed this thread. Doeboy
