Thanks for the compliment turnerriver. I am quite fond of the Eubanks holsters. I find them to be every bit as high of quality as Lawrence holsters and they can often be found at much more reasonable prices. The Eubanks company started in 1939 and continued under that name until 1950. They were then sold to the Pioneer Tent & Awning Company which continued to use the Eubanks patterns and name until 1972. In 1955 the son of the founder of the original company started his own company, Idaho Leather Co. which I believe is still in business. Many similarities will be seem among the 3 companies, although the Idaho leather Co. holsters I have observed have all been lined and have a more vertical orientation to the basket weave stamping. I love the elk leather lacing on holsters.

Here is one that was just given to me by a friend, it's a S&W Duty Holster for a 4" N frame, It showed a bit of wear so i cleaned it up, beeswaxed it and the polished it. It is now ready for duty, the thing is I don't have a 4" N frame, so I have to buy a gun to go in it. I think it was his plan from the get go.

Dave, That looks great! Would you be so kind as to tell or illustrate how you put all that together on the backside. I can't figure out the best way to attach the belt, strap, or whatever the proper term would be for the piece that encircles the holster. Thanks, Greg

You can use slots and rivets or chicago screws to attach the garter.

Thank you very much. I am currently making one with a "garter", and I attached it with snaps. It'll work, but I'm not real happy with it. I'll try the Chigago Screws.

Very nice holster, although I would have completely covered the trigger.

Thanks. I left it open intentionally. I like the way it looks better. Although it appears unsafe, I think it would be unlikely that the safety would be disengaged, grip safety depressed, and trigger pulled, all without my knowledge.
