I certainly apreceate good leather, but if a person were to have a strict $ parameter , I would be sending them in a different direction than if they had two or three times the budget.

To go generic , if a person hasn't stated a strong preference for somthing else on purpose , my default preference is for a Pancake. Thumbreak , decent amount of rake , and not overly high riding. Good leather is best , but a $30 nylon will be better than $30 leather.

For inexpensive mass produced Kydex , the Uncle Mike Paddle is decent quality , and has lots of adjustment for ride position. Avoid Fobus.( Insert stories of poor fits , and breaking and falling apart. )

Look into Galco or Bianchi.
They may be a bit more than $60, but you might be able to find something decent for not much more than that.

As your handle suggests female, I will recommend "The Well Armed Woman" site. They have many holsters and other products specifically for women. I've bought several things for my wife on there and the best IWB holster I've owned on there and always got good service.

I'm a Kramer fan. I have OWB's for model 19 & model 27/29. Also IWB for a 1911-A1. Very pleased with them after years of service. My wife has one for her Colt DS and plans to get another for her other DS (one has a shrouded barrel, the other an exposed ejector rod; that's how well-fitted they are). Hers is a "Women's" OWB. Has a slight drop at the belt and flares out a bit which keeps the DS vertical on her hip. Check them out.

I'm not a fan of that design.
I prefer a slotted pancake holster like I posted above.

I like the wider pancake style holster because it hold the gun tighter to my hip.
I've tried holsters similar to the not you linked, and they were too "floppy" for my tastes.

I have a tucker HF2 for my P229R that I really like. As luck would have it it also is a close enough fit I can use it for my FNP40 and my H&K P30. As you have probably guessed it is custom leather, which means there is a wait list but, it is worth it cause Rob does good work and is a great guy to deal with.

I have a Galco paddle for my Chief's Special. I think it's great FOR ME. Widest paddle piece I know of in all the popular paddle designs. Keeps the little snubbie nice and stable ON ME.

Holsters and guns to fit girls are different than when they fit boys. Most of us boys tend to be widest at gunbelt level. Most girls tend to be narrowest at gunbelt level. Even when us boys tend to maintain our youthful figure, we've still got different shaped midsections than the ladies.

Every lady cop I've ever known, uniform or plain clothes, had a horrible time fitting into a holster that worked well on man cops. They almost all ended up with an extremely high riding holster, making drawing the weapon look/feel awkward.

If you can get to a physical Cabela's or similar store you can try on that Galco and a lot of other paddles. You can even borrow a same model pistol in the store and see how it rides.

Advice from other girl gun toters is probably much more valuable than it might be from a bunch of guys. We (us guy-folk) simply don't know what it's like to be shaped like girl-folk. And even then, most of us have probably gone through a bunch of holsters and have the "failures" from our experiments in a bag in the closet.

I had one of those for a Glock 22...it inhaled.

You actually got good holster advice in one of your previous threads. Body type often dictates how one carries a firearm. Think of Laurel & Hardy, they could not carry a handgun the same way. Women have the additional problems of hips, waists, and breasts that can alter how the handgun rides on the belt and impedes reach. A LE supply store would have about the best selection available for you to try, as most LEOs carry concealed off-duty. You do not have to buy there, but you can get an idea of what you like and dislike.

Do not be bashful, seek advice from female LEOs you run into. LEOs can be a great source of knowledge, and most are very willing to share.
