Hi guys.

I am a new shooter, until today, haven't shot anything since boy-scouts about 27 years ago.

After a couple weeks of researching, I decided the 15-22 would be a great start, and man was it a good choice!

I had a local shop order the MOE for $530ish total. Took 5 days to come in, which I spent studying every video/tutorial/demo/review/forum/whatnot.

I took it to a range today and put 200 rounds though it pretty quickly. I brought only 50 CCI stingers, thinking the range makes you buy their ammo, but that wasn't the case. All they had was Winchester Wildcats and Remington (thanks to the research, I know not to use it), so I picked up their last 3 boxes of Winchester. I remembered the manual recommends one type of Winchester and does NOT recommend another, but I couldn't remember which. After getting home I realize the Wildcats that I shot is what they do not recommend... Doh

Of the 200 rounds, I only had 1 issue, where it did not fire, it was the Unrecommended Wildcat. I am not sure what happened, as I ejected, the bullet looked fine, I reloaded it, and it shot, somewhat... The Wildcats seem to vary a little, this one was like a cap gun and I am not even sure it made it the 50 feet to the target. I see why it's on the not recommend.

Anyway, I am freaking hooked!! I would have shot another 200 if the range wasn't down to only Remington left. Love this gun. Looking forward to accessorizing (though I want a little more time in with the basics). Already want like 10 more guns! OMG - What did I get myself into? Help!

Welcome to the forum. Glad you enjoyed shooting your new gun. After you recover from this experience, try shooting a K38 or a 6906 and the hook will be in deeper.

welcome to the addiction it alot of fun I have several other guns in larger calibers but my 15-22 is my favorite to shoot enjoy it have fun be safe. Welcome Aboard

DEFINATELY addicting. I didn't own a gun till a little over year ago. I now have 3 shotguns, 2 pistols, and 2 rifles in the closet.

Welcome to the world of Tactical 22LR shooting with one of the best tactical 22 on the market. Solid, easy to take down and clean, works with many different ammos. I found the CCI Tactical the best working ammo for my rifle (just remember 22 rifles are very picky on what works, I've found this out). Anyway, the M&P 15/22 is one hell of a 22 and I'm so glad I got one, this will stay with me forever... Enjoy

Newbie question. What is exactly MOE and does anybody have a break down with pictures that shows MOE parts?
