horde of zombies

"Destroy the brain or remove the head."

Give me plenty of Federal .30-30 flat nose for the Marlin 336 and something in the flavor of .45. If needed the Ithaca 37 also gets a nod.

Can't settle on only 2 or 3.
Handguns: My 5903's. :) 15 & 30 round mags are loaded alternating HP and ball. Galco MC 244 and SOB 244 in 5 O'clock position. 637-2 :) in Bianchi #12 Ankle rig in case they get me down and I have to use it on myself. If I can't get to that, Freedom Arms .22LR Mini-Revolver in Clip-on eyeglass case with flap in shirt pocket.
Carbine: Marlin Camp 9. Uses the S&W Mags. Have to grab my Mag Bag.
Shotgun: Mossberg 500. Between Side Saddle, Buttstock Sleeve, Sling, Ammo Belt, and Gun, I have 68 rounds of bird shot, 00 Buck, and BRI Sabot Slugs.
Battle Rifle (NOT Assault Rifle!!! :( ): 1975 GP AK Rifle, U.S., with 24 - 30 round AK mags and 2 - 100 round (not 75 round, but 100 round) RPK mags.
Ready for any Zombie attack, as well as December 21, 2012, when they say bad things will happen. Was ready for Y2K, nothing happened.

hmmm what would I grab...

Head shots only.... ease of carry.... high capacity.... plenty of ammo on hand....

If I'm on the move it'll be my Kel-tec PLR-16 and Beretta Cougar 8000D.

If I'm staying on my well fortified house, I'll be upstairs pickin' 'em off out the windows with my AR-15 and maybe my Savage MKII BV if a .22lr in the head will drop them.

First, what sort of zombies? Are they the slow shamblers or the fast, nasty ones? Or are they simply diseased humans like in "30 Days"?

The trick with zombies is to avoid detection. This is where the suppressed rimfire rifle shines*. I'd grab a suppressed Ruger 10/22, a box of 550 Remington Golden Bullets and go to a blind on my roof. I'd then proceed to pick them off with head shots (or torso hit for diseased humans).

It's the clean-up that'd be a bitch. Using a 'dozer would attract attention and fires could get out of control.

* Zombies are not real and do not exist. The statement is theoretical. One could reasonably substitute "Obamunist" or "Leftist" for "zombie". YMMV.

AR-15 with a lot of 30 round magazines for my long gun and any hi-cap semi-auto pistol. You must be carefull because when everything is empty it takes a lot of time to reload the mags.

M1 carbine with ball ammo in lots of mags, Glock 22 with also a lot of mags.

IF we can get to it, the 16" gun fortification left over from WWII that the local city government has turned into a Major emergency gov't center. One of several on the island.

That's located located a very short hop from the Largest Military munitions storage facility in the state. Let the Marine guards handle the zombies while I sneak in/out with stuff we need.......

Then, there's the one closer to me where a lot of the show "LOST" is filmed at. Believe that was a 5" or 6" gun emplacement along with some MG bunkers in the area also. There are tunnels that are "supposed" to go deep into the mountains there too. It was also an airfield where P-40s and some P-38s were stationed. the revetments for the aircraft are still there. Overgrown and unusable, but, still there if you know what you're looking for/at.

Gun of choice travelling and holed up is a 1919 BAR with a box full of 20 rnd magazines and several cases of milsurp 30-06.

Yep, just waiting for the day of the Zombies.

I'm hoping these two will do the trick.

The Glock is a Model 21 .45 ACP
The Black Rifel is an AR10 in 7.62mm x 51mm Nato
