I just got a catalog in the mail from Hornady - their "Get Loaded" promotion has been extended into all of calendar year 2015.

If you don't know what this is, if you buy a "Lock-N-Load" reloading kit, you get 500 free bullets from Hornady - you do have a limited selection to choose from, but free is free (except you pay shipping).
If you buy a set of Hornady dies, you get 100 free bullets.

Here is the info page.

Just thought I'd pass this info along.

Edit:
They added items that get you free bullets.
Here's a pic of the new flyer for 2015:

The free bullets would be meaningful if they let you choose. It's a nice touch, but not getting me to buy a press. The press needs to fit your needs & be efficient & as. Trouble free as possible, free bullets or not. Btw, this has been going on for almost 10yrs, I doubt it goes away anytime soon.

My wife gave me a LNL AP last year for Christmas w/ dies/shellplates for my rifle and pistol calibers. Ended up w/ 500 bullets for the press and 100 bullets each for the die sets. So... I now have 700 wonderful 150 gr. .30 cal. soft-point bullets that I will happily be using in my Remington 03-A4 (replica). The press is excellent in every respect. It was on sale when she bought it... cost ended up little less than the other brands I was considering. Figuring the bullets at say... $20-25/box, ended up with $140-175 worth of bullets... with no extra money spent. Cool! I've got plenty of rifles that use .30 cal. bullets. And there is no medium/large game animal in Georgia that can't be easily handled w/ one of those Hornady .30 cal. Interlocks.

They let you choose...to a point. When I bought my LNL AP, and 8 sets of dies, you had a choice of one bullet only, in any particular caliber. That was fine with me, but I think I know what Fred is getting at, only one bullet style in a given caliber. It would be nice, if not impractical, to offer a choice of say, 2-3 bullets, in your caliber of choice. When I sent in my "proofs" for the first 5 die sets, I had to order all one bullet, in only one caliber. I wanted to get some bullets for each new die set. They said no. This was because I submitted all 5 proofs in one envelope (read, order). If I wanted different bullets for each die set, I would have needed to send in each proof individually and separately.
Anyway, I just bought another die set, 223 Rem., so I will be getting more bullets soon. I have pretty much settled on the 30 cal bullets for any die set I buy now a days.

So I guess the question is do you like the press?

While it's true that they don't offer a large selection of free bullets, they do offer enough variety that most shooters should be able to find something they can use.
My Shield loves 115gr. bullets, so the 9MM HP/XTP was a great option for me. Also, the 110gr. 38 cal. bullets seem like just the thing for some .38 Special plinking. ;)

Free is free, and it's a sight better than no free bullets at all.

Btw, this has been going on for almost 10yrs, I doubt it goes away anytime soon.
I've only been reloading for 3 months now.
No way I could have known that. I just thought I'd pass the information along.

I just got my free bullets in September.
When I sent in my order, I redeemed enough for 800 bullets - 500 for the press, and 100 each for 3 die sets. I sent the whole thing in together, but each item had to have a separate order form - one form for the 500 bullets for the L-N-L press, and one form each for every die set, but all in the same envelope.
When I called, they said I could pick anything off the list for each of the die sets, but the 500 for the press couldn't be split up - they had to be 500 of the same thing. I was told the 100 each for the die sets could be mixed and matched with anything off the list.

Maybe they amended the policy since you sent in your order, or maybe the Rep. you got didn't know the policy?

Now? Yes!
But there were some growing pains. It gave me troubles for quite a while. And that was with Hornady's help in the process. They had me verify the timing (as much as you can do over the phone. It was correct), and sent out several parts over about two years. I kinda got acclimated to the slower than usual, troublesome operation. I got complacent and "dealt with it". Then, I used a friends LNL AP. It was flawless, everything that I imagined and dreamt of. So I made another call to Hornady. They sent me a shipper, I shipped my LNL to them. Two weeks, and 17 parts (per the itemized replacement parts list) later, I now have a flawlessly operating press too. It was frustrating at first, I got used to it, then I got it fixed.
Don't let this happen to you. Have the factory correct any operational issues sooner than later.
My thanks and appreciation to Hornady's customer support and service.

Have you reviewed this set of videos? VERY well done!

OP, thanks for the info on the extension of the rebate. I know you never asked for opinions so sorry for the thread drift!

good deal, first thing I did after a problem was strip it down and put back together after watching Highboys videos. It gave me great understanding of the press and mine runs like a charm... In fact I think I will nip out there and load 100 44 mag before my show comes on in 20 mins:D:D

Yes I did see the videos. After, seeing just the first few, I thought that all my problems were (gonna be) solved, soon. The lock washer idea was cool, but it never made a difference in my problems of cases running up into the dies, or the ejection problems. I sent my press into Hornady with the lock washer installed (I mentioned it to them when talking about sending it in). They sent it back, not installed, and I have never needed it since. So, the lock washer is a band aid (but legitimate and useful) fix, that shouldn't be needed on a properly operating machine.
Did I mention that I was happy with it now? I am, for sure.:D

I am pretty anal about putting stuff together. I even read manuals on simple things like radios (well, now, MP3 players and the like) and TV's. I took my time, read and re-read every step and tried to do what was needed. It worked pretty well. But it never was fast, or even remotely fast. 100 rds of 38's took me an hour. That didn't count setting up the powder drop or loading primers. 38's, 9mm and 45acp gave me the most trouble. 44 spl/mags were better, slightly. And strangely, 380 and 40 S&W ran pretty smoothly. Timing issues should have been fairly consistent across any caliber selected. It wasn't.
The one problem that I hear a lot about regarding the LNL AP is priming issues. I never really experienced too many problems with that system. Occasionally, sure. But not even worth mentioning.
Now, without trying to go fast, I average 13-15 minutes for 100 rds of any caliber. I have not had a need to load 30 carbine on it since being repaired, but that was one caliber that seemed to work correctly from the get go. I have since added 357 Sig to the above mentioned calibers, and it runs perfectly. I have shell plates for both 30-30 and 30-06. But I still run those on my old RCBS 2 single stage.

Hornady free bullets, well also free

Hillbilly77, thanks for the post & reminder. I just sent mine in today.

Yeah, not a lot of bullets choices, most on the light side, but I got some .44 180grs that I can use in my 396NG, for $6.95 out of it. :)
