I was born and raised here in Nashville Tn. We are known world wide for or Hot Chicken! Prince's to be exact! Google it! Or if you were here for The NRA convention, I'm sure you either ate some hot fish or chicken or heard about it?
But anyway, I love Hot Food. Always have.
So two or three months ago, I had a craving for HOT pickled eggs! Used to find them at most every store, big or small. Not no more? Hunted high and low! Couldn't find any!
So went on the ole inner web and saw a site about a Amish store only about 5 miles from the house. And one of things that was listed was pickled eggs? I thought worth a try?
So I go and sure enough, they had tons of HOT stuff. Hot pickled eggs. Hot pickles. Hot okra. Hot jellies. HOT Sauces, Hot relish. Well you get the picture! I love it! Along with regular pickled stuff and veggies in jars. Honey, maple syrup, and fresh molasses! And country ham, sausage, bacon ETC!
The ladies are so nice there and a few not so bad to look at, I might add!
They also sell cakes, pies, homemade breads and the best fried apple and peach pies I've ever ete!
Its pricey, but well worth the trip!
And on Saturday mornings they serve Breakfast and Brunch. Till about 1, I think? All homemade and the bacon and country ham is FANTASTIC! Fresh biscuits served with honey or molasses! Country eggs cooked the way you like em and stone ground flour pancakes!
I'm out of picked stuff and going in the morning! And of course I'm eating breakfast!
HOT STUFF! I love it!!!
