House cat fends off 3 coyote attack

I'm thinking those coyotes were just curious not hungry. Looked more like they were just trying to sniff the cat than an attack posture.
Youngun's just out exploring.

You can see how agile coyotes are when that one on the left jumps sideways up on the wall/ledge. I live in a remote area and have a bunch here. I saw a pack of 10 not too long ago. I have an outside cat that is eight.

Chicago had 3 Coyote attacks on humans this past week. One was a 5yr old kid bitten several times on the face and head. Another was a jogger who was bit on the butt. Another jogger was chased, not damaged. So they put all the police officers in the districts involved on the case. One Coyote was caught and is being treated for his injuries. A second Coyote suspect remains at large.
Get this! They are running DNA tests on the incarcerated Coyote to see if he's responsible for bites on kid and jogger. The victims will need rabies shots anyway since the DNA results will take weeks. Meanwhile rape kits taken from victims take years before they're processed thru DNA.
Get this 2! Apparently Coyotes are a protected species in Illinois. Coyotes were turned loose in the city long ago for rodent control. Chicago still has the largest rat problem of ANY U.S. city.

Apparently Coyotes are a protected species in Illinois. ...
Hmmf. Law of unforeseen consequences. I do believe they've overflowed and migrated all the way down here. There weren't any around here just a few years ago, but now, I've seen them, heard them, and they've killed two of my neighbors' cats.
We have an open season and a bounty on them here.

In Michigan you can hunt them year round too. Just need your base License.
Just before Deer season I got this one, weighed in at 42.4lbs. Big male.

Those coyotes in the video are pups, that’s a lucky cat because an adult coyote would of snatched him up and it wouldn’t be a good outcome for the cat.
