Do like I do. Put copies of what can be put on CD/DVD/Video and make multiple copies. Distribute the copies to trusted family and friends for "Safe" keeping. Insurance papers, title to the house and farm, updated list of all weapons, photo copies of credit cards, passport, etc along with a copy of the DVD mentioned above are kept in the safe deposit box down at my local CU. As far as weapons storage, get yourself the biggest fire rated safe you can afford. Get one with a Nomex fire blanket that drops down on top of the top shelf when it gets above the temperature threshold of the plastic clips that hold it in place. Most damage to items in a fire rated safe without a Nomex fire barrier that has been burned will be to whatever is on the top shelf. Example, house goes afire, cealing burns through and falls on top of safe acting like the broiler in your kitchen, cooking everything from the top down.
