House flooding in NC

Just got off the phone with the wife near the beach. Seems we've got 2 feet of water in the backyard and she's mopping the kitchen now. Its just started raining again and more forecasted. She's a good strong women and has to deal with this without me being there.

The coast around Wilmington got about 17" before the latest, that is supposed to bring another 7" or so! Military wives have to be tough!

Sorry to hear it. Hard on her having to deal with it alone. Hard on you not being there to help.

Everyone down here on the Gulf Coast has either delt with the water or been scared to death praying the water would stop rising.

Hope this passes with minimum hassle.

It has been about 4 days of rain here, and worst was today, with lots of local flooding in the older areas. We even left work early to beat the next heavy band of rain coming in. Most evening events/classes and things have been canceled.We are in a lull right now, but seems like we have one more band coming before it moves north. Good luck to those in the way.

Talked to the wife yesterday and the water has started to reside. Now the clean up begins and damage assesments.
