Sgt. Brewster was shot and killed this evening after responding to a domestic violence complaint. He confronted the suspect in the street and was shot and killed. I did not know him, he joined HPD 16 years after I retired, however I patrolled that part of east Houston in the early 70's and know what he was dealing with. He leaves behind a wife and mother father. Prayers for his family.

Very sad. Prayer for his family, friends and those left behind to carry on the mission.

We lost another in Arkansas last night as well.

The war on cops continues.

The shooters in these cases deserve swift justice that involves a trial, an appeal, a chair, salt water and a massive dose of electricity. It should be the mandatory sentence for these cowards.

Prayers for the brave policeman, his family and every first responder across the country.

10-7. End of Watch. SGT. Brewster has answered his last Call for Service.

Texas juries are almost sure to deliver a death sentence for those convicted of Capital Murder of a Police Officer.

Houston is not as bad as Chicago, but it's on par with L.A. lots of gangs and drugs. East End sees firefights every now and then.

USMC...

I rode the same old 11 district...Around 1973-77.

R.I.P.
SGT. Chris Brewster.

I was on unit 611 during that same time frame and would pick up some calls from 11 district when it was holding calls. B.T. Jefferies # 2546
