Well
I never said this before,but I am 100% with
you Okie.............................................................................................................John.
I may have just bought something as close
to that beauty as I have ever seen.

It just dawned on me that the sights are fixed.
Definitely make a big difference.Very slick and clean.

Hey, S&W, are you listening? Can we get a few more of these?

Okie John

That's a gun I would grab before a 58 or a 520. I had a 3" with adjustable sights - definitely a far 2nd place by comparison. Having fired a 3" 44 Magnum though, I'm a bit "anxious" about those grips. Ouch?

Being a rabid S&W short barrel fan this is extrememly interesting. Since I'm now stationed in Germany and can't have access to my gund, it's even more, well, emotional I guess.

The fixed sight 29 is what the Thunder Ranch series "should have been". Wow.

The John Jovino guns are also amazingly interesting. I'd love to see some research on that series, markings, numbers, etc.

SDM Manufactiring is doing 624 barrel shortining for IPSC/IDPA. I bet they could make some very cool snubs if so commissioned. Really makes one think.

What is that in the post above? A 3 1/2" .44 Special? Did you convert a M27? or Cut down an M24? What is story with the sights? It looks like you 'converted' an adj. sighted gun to a fixed sighted one? I tried to find other posts about this gun, but wasn't able to learn more. Would love to hear the story on this gun. thanks,
