Rick,

Are you going to pick a winner?
Lots of nice guns,
I'm voting for post #79 and #90.
They are wild looking!

Just thought I'd ask if you plan on doing a poll or something?
It would be fun to see what the members think.

It would real tough to pick a winner.

I'm content sitting back and enjoying the contributions. This turned out better than I had expected.

If you like it, like it. That's enough for me.

jjbrewst1-Jim, is the Cogan custom 29 3" a mismark, or is it hardchromed. If the later, they did a great job on the chrome. I just grabbed a 629-5 3" Lew Horton Custom Carry on an impulse buy........because everytime I see a 3" N frame .44, I have an impulse to buy.

Outstanding collection of awesome revolvers.......even the Colt ;-)

Not a mismark. It was sent to Cogan for a complete action Job and Hard Chrome. It is by far one of my Favorites. It's impossible to hurt. I really love it

I have heard how good their hardchrome is, that gun sure emphasizes it. Very nice. I have both the blue and stainless version of that gun, yours looks like my stainless, but probably wears better.

Here is my 27-8, Performance Center, Lew Horton, 5 inch, 8 shot cylinder, #132 of 258

I didn't know if I would like it as much as I like my older N frames, but I do. Once I put an older set of factory commemorative target stocks on it I fell completely in love with it. Even if it has the internal lock.

THAT'S A BEAUTIFUL TRANSITIONAL HIGHWAY PATROLMAN, MattNH. IT APPEARS TO ME TO HAVE A BARREL THAT IS SHORTER THAN 8 3/8". IMHO, 6 1/2" TO 7", PERHAPS. VISION IS NOT MY STRONG SUIT--HENCE MY HANDLE, ONE EYE JOE. SO WHAT IS THE ACTUAL LENGTH OF THAT BARREL ? ? ? IS THAT A GUN FROM THE WW II ERA, OR PERHAPS A CLASSIC SERIES GUN ? ? ?

Joe - it's a regular 28-2 with a 6" barrel. I called it transitional because the barrel is not pinned but the cylinder is recessed and it came with the one piece cardboard box. It's an N serial number and the hang tag I got with it says Feb. 1982.

It's not going to win a beauty contest, more of plain Jane, girl next door kind of look. But she can shoot.

WELL, I'M GLAD MY OLD EYE AIN'T FOOLIN' ME--IT'S NOT AN 8 3/8" BARREL. I THINK IT'S A VERY NICE REVOLVER--AND AN ODD ONE-OFF VERSION…...

A nice Highway Patrolman 4 screw
A well used 1937 Brasil 45. A projekt gun! Shoots great but looks not so nice:rolleyes:
A new 629 and I have to say very well made gun. Beefier than the old 29 Model and I like shooting it. Trigger is good. The standard Houge grips were just ugly so I put the Grip from my 627 on it.

You have to love the N frames:p

A beauty to me! 625JM. My newest Smith, and only lock gun (2009) It looks better in person. I can't do it justice. Bob

Banana,

If I may ask, who did the grips. The color is not right for me, but the shape is exactly what I am trying to find, to try out. Nice looking JM.

Thanks,

Craig

Go on Ebay. These are Thailand or Grips made overseas. They have many different colors and styles to choose from.

Jim
Nice guns, as always
But I got it bad for that custom 1917
:D
Anymore photos of that one?

Chris

Jim
Thank you
That gun is wild, so much was done.
Everywhere I look, its been modified.
I'm having a hard time describing it. The only word that keeps coming back to me is "trick". That gun is tricked out!
Thank for sharing such a beautiful custom.
Fwiw,
That thing would look sweet in my new rig!
Chris
