Rick,
Are you going to pick a winner?
Lots of nice guns,
I'm voting for post #79 and #90.
They are wild looking!
Just thought I'd ask if you plan on doing a poll or something?
It would be fun to see what the members think.
Couldn't stand the Hogue's a minute longer, so I found a set of RB Pachmayr Presentations, . I've spent a little time with a Model 28(gun belonged to local range) with the same grips and found them to work reasonably well for me. Ditching the finger grooves and letting my fingers go where the want to make me a LOT happier. I always thought the Pachy's were the best looking of the rubber grips too. At some point, something nicer will likely go on this one, but for now, these do the trick.

Those grips look great on your 610. I am sure they would look equally good on my 625JM. Ahrend retro smooth target, right? Bob

jjbrewst1-Jim, is the Cogan custom 29 3" a mismark, or is it hardchromed. If the later, they did a great job on the chrome. I just grabbed a 629-5 3" Lew Horton Custom Carry on an impulse buy........because everytime I see a 3" N frame .44, I have an impulse to buy.
Outstanding collection of awesome revolvers.......even the Colt ;-)
Not a mismark. It was sent to Cogan for a complete action Job and Hard Chrome. It is by far one of my Favorites. It's impossible to hurt. I really love it

THAT'S A BEAUTIFUL TRANSITIONAL HIGHWAY PATROLMAN, MattNH. IT APPEARS TO ME TO HAVE A BARREL THAT IS SHORTER THAN 8 3/8". IMHO, 6 1/2" TO 7", PERHAPS. VISION IS NOT MY STRONG SUIT--HENCE MY HANDLE, ONE EYE JOE. SO WHAT IS THE ACTUAL LENGTH OF THAT BARREL ? ? ? IS THAT A GUN FROM THE WW II ERA, OR PERHAPS A CLASSIC SERIES GUN ? ? ?
Joe - it's a regular 28-2 with a 6" barrel. I called it transitional because the barrel is not pinned but the cylinder is recessed and it came with the one piece cardboard box. It's an N serial number and the hang tag I got with it says Feb. 1982.
It's not going to win a beauty contest, more of plain Jane, girl next door kind of look. But she can shoot.
A beauty to me! 625JM. My newest Smith, and only lock gun (2009) It looks better in person. I can't do it justice. Bob
Banana,
If I may ask, who did the grips. The color is not right for me, but the shape is exactly what I am trying to find, to try out. Nice looking JM.
Thanks,
Craig
