Was looking at a Model 69 this weekend. Just irks me the amount of MIM on the gun.
I'd like to see a custom shop option. Either send your gun in to, or have your stocking dealer place an order with, a C&W Custom Shop who will replace the MIM parts with forged, color case hardened or stainless steel parts.
And perhaps offer non-cataloged barrel lengths.
Passed on the Model 69 for the moment. Like the gun, but the 4.25" barrel is not what I want. I want a 3" for carry. This would be the ultimate S&W answer to the Charter Arms Bulldog. In the meantime, I'm looking for an older 3" 629 with fluted cylinder and traditional barrel. Had a blued one, shudda kept it.
