How bad can Marlin be?

I don't know if this is how Remington is these days, or if there are issues with moving factories.

I felt ok about it when I got the gun back in a week. Have to drive 30 miles to get to a UPS hub, that ships guns too. Then have to get it back.

I wait on hold get to talk to a guy. Tell him, it came back with most of the problems I sent it in for. He then says he will not talk over me and will disconnect the call if I do not stop talking. *** they sold me a bad gun, then they fail to fix it, and now they talk to me like this?

So he says he will send me UPS label. I say, that is what you did last time too? What do I need to do different this time to get it fixed? He says we will send you a label. I asked him should I paint or mark it, I was being serious, and he hangs up on me.

I've looked at them, thought about getting one of the 16" barrelled lever guns. After a rudimentary inspection I changed my mind. If they can't install the stocks and sights correctly, it makes me wonder what the internals are like. Sure wouldn't bet my life on one!

Like others I had a Marlin 22 auto rifle when in my early teens.
It jammed now and then but not that often. It was bought from
Sears and Roebuck, brand spanking new for around thirty or
so dollars. Gave it to a nephew years ago who was thrilled.
