How bad is the M&P 15-22?

Be careful not to put anything aluminum in the cleaner. It will quick attack and destroy the aluminum, even if all you are using is water.

Thanks for the heads up, I had no clue. Would you happen to know what materials the bolt of the M&P 15 22 are?

I would think so. The only thing I use a sonic cleaner for, though, is small parts and to get the crud out of the muzzle brake.

I clean my 15-22 every 1k and it takes me all of 20 minutes.

Nah, I'm just GOOD!!!

Seriously, I just have a set routine.

Separate the two receivers
Remove BGC and spray it liberally with CLP and set it aside
Spray the FCG and interior of the lower with CLP and set it aside
Make three passes through the barrel with the BoreSnake with CLP sprayed on the head and brushes
Spray the bolt channel in the upper with CLP and set it aside
Wipe out the lower and blow it out with 100 lb compressed air
Wipe down the BCG and use a dental pick to remove anything stubborn
Run a baby bottle brush through the BCG channel in the upper and blow it out with compressed air
Put a single drop of CLP on each of the bolt carrier rails, on the bolt stop release and on the hammer and trigger pins
Reassemble.
