How did you get bit by the Third generation bug?

I got started with a original mdl 59 and just progressed from there. Stable now has 23 S&W pistols and 17 are 3rd Gen.

First I bought a 39-2 then a 645 then 3rd Gen 4506 then a 5903 and i was hooked. Afterwards a 1911.

I was forced to carry the 5906 when I was a Deputy Sherif in Nevada 89-91 . I didn't like them then and I don't like them now . But I do own one for nostalgic reasons .
It is one heavy brick **** house high capacity 9mm.
But I'm a 1911 .45 ACP guy, so what do I know ?

Had A 2nd Gen 5" Sold It To a Buddy And He Still Has It, Then I Bought My 3rd Gen In The 90s 4566 And Won't Part with It, I Like To Get A 4516

My first were a 1006 and then a 1086.

After a case failure in my Glock 20 resulted in the need to buy a new frame, I re-embraced the notion of metal framed handguns for prolonged shooting at the range. I traded for a 4046 so I could take advantage of the loads of cheap 40 S&W cases available, and then I just couldn't resist one of those like-new 5903's that iAmmo brought back from Israel.

When I saw Reservoir Dogs, had to get a 5906. I now shot it in IDPA & 2 Gun Matches. I get called "old school". Use my 3913 for BUG matches. Just purchased a 4566 TSW for CDP and to use for Heavy class for 2 gun carbine.

Started with a Model 39 in 74. Cost new was $125. Traded for a Model 19 K frame snubby and later regretted it. When I saw the Chief Special CS series I did not hesitate an instant. This ones a keeper. Love the compact stuff.
