How did you meet..

Steve, we are 7 years apart. I was 30 and she was 23 when we started dating.

I was 6'1" and sporting that whole Grizzly Adams thing.

She was 4'10" and looked 18.

Stares and snickers were on our daily menu.

PS: dad and mom were also 7 years apart. They planned this well.

Mine and I are 7 years apart, too. And thankfully, it's easy for me to remember her birthday, 'cause she was born on 4/4 and I'm on 6/6!

Wendy and I met because we had a mutual acquaintance named Carol I dated for a while a few years beforehand and we parted as friends. The three of us, four including Carol's husband have remained close ever since then.

My favorite gal, SWMBO.

Our friend Carol who we naturally think highly of for helping bring us together.

I sometimes refer to her as my war bride. I first met her in December 1969 while home on leave from Vietnam. We had been exchanging letters for about 8 months before we met. I had a 30 day leave before I returned for a 6 month extended tour and we made the best of that leave. I returned from my second and last tour in August 1970 and we discussed marriage, however I had another year to give to the USMC. I reported to Camp Pendleton and was a very lonely Marine. I found a small apartment in Fallbrook, Ca and we got married and I moved her from Houston in February 1971. Except for the USMC part, it was a great year.

Returned to Houston in 1972 and I became a LEO. Still married after 48 years. She is really a patient understanding woman who has been with me through some tough years brought on by PTSD and depression. Believe she is a keeper !!
