I received 12 (10 round long) magazines yesterday that were ordered / backordered with S&W about a month ago. They were delivered by FedEx in a secure box. The magazines came without individual packaging (so what - I'm not reselling them). They were packed tight - no damage....

My first shipment about 3 weeks ago came Fed Ex ground, the shipment that will be here Monday is coming Smart Post thru Fed Ex / USPS and it is taking 11 days total:eek:

Just received mine today USPS. I called when my card was charged and they said it is sent FedEx and switches to USPS. Packaged securely and work great!! I now have 4, 25 rounds mags!!

I got two 25 round magazines last week. They came via Fed Ex / USPS in a bubble lined manila envelope. The magazines were not individually wrapped or packaged.

Yep, coming from S&W they are loose instead of a retail package

I received two 25 round mags today in the exact same packaging.

Fed Ex Smartpost is slow as all get out, my mags were shipped out of Mass on the 11th long before the bombing and the shipment just left Ft.Worth today enroute to Roswell and then out to me 80 miles away, 13 days maybe, we'll see.....Fed Ex sucks:rolleyes: OH WAIT, I was told by the mod to spell the word and let it get astrickized instead of creative spelling, now what, I'm busted again

Mine were shipped FedEx.... the charge hit my cc a couple of days ago, and they arrived in CO today. :D

Mine were sent via Fedex but arrived via USPS because I used my PO box as my shipping address. The two magazines arrived in a padded envelope. For as precious these things are I would think they would have used a box but they were fine.

Mine took 12 days after they charged me to receive them. Took them 6 days after charged me to even ship the dam things. Ordered 12/28!!At least I got them. Came in a box with some packing paper. Mags were just in a plastic bag. FedEx 2 UsPs....

Unbelievable ...

You get your magazines and then complain about the way they were packed.

I would think that SW are shipping them without packaging to get them out the door quicker and into the hands of customers. I would love to get the 2 I want with or without packaging. I dont really care since in the past I have gotten them in a zip log bag which I dont think protects much of anything.

As a manager of the shipping department at a manufacturer, it IS important how things are packed. That is probably our biggest complaint, a good item leave the factory and gets damaged in transit and this can happen even when packed correctly. My experience with UPS/Fedex/USPS is they are not gentle with anything they handle. They really don't worry about tossing a 30 lb package on top of an envelope.
There is a thread on this forum where the OP got an envelope from S&W where it was re-taped and when he opened expecting his 25 round magazines the envelope it was empty! Someone can feel an envelope and figure out what is enclosed and if a dishonest worker figures out it might contain magazines which are a hot commodity right now they just might lift them. Mine arrived in good shape but I would have been pretty upset if I had waited nearly 4 months for my magazines and they were damaged or missing.

25 15-22 mags ... Not a damaged one in the bunch and and none came in blister packs or plastic bags. Several came in Tyvek bags.

Much ado about nothing, IMHO.

From what I read, they weren't really complaining, just answering the OP's question about how their mags came and who delivered it. You're the one that's getting a little heated. There's nothing "unbelievable" about this thread, but you.
