The USPS allows individuals to ship rifles & shotguns to a FFL licensee. Handguns only from one FFL to another. The other shippers such as UPS & FedEx have policies that prohibit individuals from shipping any firearms. These are company policies not law. What would happen if you sent a pistol UPS to a FFL? How would they know what was in the box? Seems to me as long as you weren't in violation of
Federal Law what could they do? Unless there is a signed contract with conditions per each parcel all they could do is refuse to deliver if buy some reason they found out there was a pistol in parcel. This policy seems ridiculous. Those conducting transfers through legal channels are treated the same as those who would just ship firearm to another individual.
