How do you conceal carry your weapon?

I'm not sure I understand how this relates to my recent post, sorry.

It relates to the OP's post. He never filled out the part where you enter the state in which you live, and since there are 50 different states with at least 40 different laws, how deeply he needs to conceal, if at all, is important.

Thanks for clearing that up... thought you replied to my post. Sorry.

I live in Ohio and try to spend Three Months of Winter in Florida. No matter what Clothing the Weather calls for I carry a 442 in my Left Front Pocket and a second 442 or Model 37 Smith AIWB. Two Speed Loaders are in my Right Front Pocket. This is my normal mode of carry it is rarely altered.

It depends on your body shape. I am 6' tall, wear a 46" jacket, and 34" jeans. I carry the gun on my belt at 3:00 with reloads at 9:00 covered by an un-tucked shirt. My usual carry is a 5" government model 1911.

S&W J-frame Airweight.
Summer, front pocket, rear pocket when convenient.
Winter, coat pocket.
I'm over 60 , over 6 foot tall , and overweight.
IWB just didn't work for me.

It's going to be a trial and error process, what works for one not necessarily best for another.
No right or wrong way....just find something that works for you.
I tried 3 or 4 different modes before finding what worked for me.

Since where I live allows both concealed, and open carry without a permit I just carry my gun in my hand, I save a lot of money by not having to have a holster. But when I go out wearing clothes I use an OWB from Bianchi for a snub Model 19 under a loose fitting shirt or jacket.

You should try appendix carry at the 12:00 position. The 12:00 o'clock position allows you to bend, sit, squat, etc. without any discomfort. This is my preferred method of carry because in my opinion, the draw stroke is quicker than reaching around to the 4:00-4:30 or even 3:00 position. When your driving, its easier to get to because its right there in front of you. I carry a subcompact (Taurus PT 111g2) with a Clinger Atom holster and the pistol disappears. An advantage that appendix has over the other locations is that most humans generally don't stare at other human's crotchal region. Give it a try, once you get over the whole "pointing a gun at your custard launcher" complex you'll be fine. I carry at 3:00 when I wear a suit though.

I carry a full size 1911 in a very comfortable IWB Brigade Leather holster at 4 o'clock. I always wear a t-shirt between my firearm and my body as activity can cause chafe and it helps protect the leather and weapon from sweat. I wear a loose fitting shirt in the Summer and a vest, jacket, sweater or sport coat in the winter for concealment. If you make it a habit, choose a comfortable holster, concealed carry will become a natural part of your routine. Just gotta find the firearm, holster, and belt combination that works for you. Don't forget the reload. Good luck.

I carry OWB 99% of the time dressed as you describe. I carry a Mdl 19 snub nose or a1911 Commander. You will need to try out each way, like we all did, to find what is best for you. You really need a drawer full of holsters and grips to get the hang of it.... that way you can really join the club.... speaking of which, welcome to the Forum.

4 o'clockish in either a Simply Rugged Sour Dough IWB or a Lobo Combat classic OWB. Can't agree more with the advice to get a GOOD gun belt. I a untucked Pendleton wool shirt through about 3/4 of the year, i own about 15. In the summer it gets a little harder, but i make it work with good wardrobe choices. I'm considering a j frame for pocket carry this summer.
I have also use the remora holster which works pretty good.

I carry a Sig P320 Carry in an owb holster (Desantis speed scabbard) in jeans and a t-shirt (if it is cooler, then a sweatshirt or jacket over that). Once in a very blue moon, I'll carry it IWB in an Alien Gear Holster Tuck 3.0. I don't have any issues concealing/carrying it, but I also could care less if people see my gun on my hip. PA is OC legal.

Edit: Just saw the good gun belt comments. I agree with those. I use this by Daltech Force

Mostly IWB or OWB at 4 o'clock with a compact .40, but on occasion a pocket carry subcompact 9mm.

Just began cc again after not doing so for about 30 years. When I take the pooches out for our two long walks each day I wear a custom shoulder rig with my Trail Boss 629 (I'm not concerned about two-legged critters). Otherwise I wear an owb at 10 crossdraw with a sporting goods store cheap leather pancake. I'm 6'4", 250 so, except for the jacket I wear about 10 months out of 12, I would definitely print with chubby Altamont combats on my 60-14! I don't like the strongside owb because of the seatbelt. There's a 1-3/4" gun belt and probably a Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake in my future.

Have carried almost daily with 9mm Shield on a VersaCarry. If I carry full size M&P I use a tuckable IWB Fury Solutions kydex holster

I carry my SD9 either IWB on my side with a t-shirt untucked and a denim long sleeve thrown over unbuttoned. If I just wear the t-shirt I'll carry it in the middle of my back IWB in a left hand holster. I have SCCY CPX-2 that I carry when I need a pocket pistol like when I'm in my dress clothes for work but I'm going to replace it with the bodyguard 380.

I carry a 9mm Shield in an IWB holster at about 4:00. I have also carried it in same position with an OWB holster. I never thought I would be able to carry IWB until I came across PJHolster.com. All kydex, one piece construction. Unbelievably comfortable. I never knew how heavy an OWB holster was compared to IWB until I got this holster.
