How do *You* J-frame Carry?

A 40-1 S&W in an old Burns'Martian triple draw rigged as a shoulder holster. These days as a backup. From 1963 forward until the seventies it was the only gun I had.

When I got to the Marshall Space Center, Governor Wallace was 'Standing in the school house door.' Some here may remember the nature of the unrest in those days,

Regards, Porkie

My 649-3 resides in a Kangaroo Carry holster under my right armpit, left hand draw. Been quite a few years now. Used to carry my 640 .38 special in a homemade leather pocket holster or small waist pack padded with styrofoam so as not to print.

Right hip pocket , Overall Bib pocket or in a Bianchi 5B on my right hip . 2 J Strips in the left front pocket . Starline .38S&W case,110 g GDHP , North of 5 grains of Herco gives right at 1000 fps from my m32-1 . Anything that don't stop , I got a sharp knife for .

9mm or 38spl. Shoots both.

Most of the time, 637 in a Tagua Leather IWB dual clip holster (at 4 o clock), that i had to soften up a lot with conditioner, and I swapped the metal clips out for plastic ones, since I was wearing finish off all the wooden chairs in my house with the clips rubbing the rungs on my chairs... I also have an older blackhawk black leather speed classic holster which I use from time to time, I have a Bianchi IWB leather holster that I don't wear often because it isn't as comfortable (being it doesn't distribute the bulk of the gun as well as a dual clip holster does), and I have a Barsony OWB pancake cloth holster that is a generic size, and is very comfortable, and minimalistic.

I do want to get a 638 or classic blued Bodyguard at somepoint, just haven't found one when I had money in my pocket, or I found something cooler when I saw one (like my Simth 617 .22LR 4" revolver) I want to find a snubby .22lr as well, but they almost never show up near me, and ones I have seen online that were affordable, are usually beat up pretty badly.

I love revolvers... Love Snubbies... Love j-frames...

This thread is fairly timely for me. I just picked up the first J frame I've had in awhile. It was purchased for an EDC gun that could be conveniently carried. Day in and day out.

So far, the DeSantis Clip grip carried at 4 oclock or so has been pretty comfortable. I also got the DeSantis pocket holster. Backpocket carry seems just fine, but it's just too much in the front pocket.

I'd still like to find a crossdraw/horizontal belt/driving holsterish set up for it, but I'm not interested in going too far beyond that. If I end up getting too deep into the holsters for it, I might as well go back to the same old N frame I carried regularly for six years.

I like seeing so many ideas and solutions. Thanks!

I picked up a Relentless Tactical The Ultimate Suede Leather IWB Holster and carry my 642 AIWB. Very comfortable.
