How do you pronounce "Goncalo Alves"?

Gonçalo Alves - the "c" with that little hook on it is called a cedilla. The name is Portuguese, because the wood comes from Brazil, where Portuguese is the official language. That "c" has an "s" sound. So, it's pronounced "gon-SAH-low al-veez".

Pau Ferro - another Brazilian wood, literally meaning "Iron Wood". Pronounced "pow fer-oo", with the double-r rolled just a bit on the tongue.
