How does a Model 32 differ from a 36

What is the difference between these two models?

Mainly caliber. The M32 is .38 S@W. The M36 is .38 Special.

I think the model 32 is built on an I frame. The 36 is built on a J frame. (Could be wrong).

The Model 32 started out on the I frame, but transitioned to the J frame after the introduction of the Model 36.

FYI, the Model 32 was called the 'Terrior' prior to the use of Model numbers and it dates to the late 1930's.
