This is not one of those "the sky is falling" threads. I'm just more interested to know how much prices have risen in your area on handguns. I was an economics major in college, so I understand the concept of supply and demand well. I still think $385 for a Sigma is outrageous when they were $100 less a month ago. $550 for an M&P isn't terrible but they were going for $490 last month.

last weekend at a ne ohio gun show i bought a anib 5906 2 15rd mags 400 otd i thought it was ok cdnn has 5906s from 319 to 399 1 mag no transfer or shipping fee on my purchase thier are still ok prices out there except on assult type guns hype is driving up the prices the incoming prez will have enough ecconomy problems to deal with instead of banning weapons everything will be back to normal i hope by march (prices)

I bought an excellent 4506-1 police trade in for $399 last Saturday - I am happy. Looks like it rode around in the holster, but was fired very little.

Our prices on handguns and bolt actions have stayed the same, but semi-automatic rifles and ammunition, especially any military caliber, have gone through the roof.

"Those in MA come w/10 rnd mags?"

I only saw it being available in 40 S&W at that price. If available, 9mm or 45 apc might be at a higher price.

The full size and compact M&P's in both 9mm and 40 S&W are priced at $ 463.00. A MA compliant M&P in 45 ACP is not available yet. All are shipped with 10-round mags.

Bud's Gun Shop usually has great prices on M&P's with high cap mags. I think they even have CA and MA compliant versions. They transfer guns all over the country.

Most dealers in my area have marked up S&W's only modestly. The best deals are on the older used guns even though they are quite high compared to a year ago. The largest increases are on Colt 1911's which jumped about $100 the day after the election.

Guns have risen modestly in my area but ammo has doubled. I gauge that from what I used to pay for CCI Blazer (aluminum case) 9mm plinking ammo - $3.99/box. Now it's $9.99/box.

Hi Matt.Handgun prices have stayed level.Semi Auto rifles, shotgus, and "Assualt Type" rifles have gone thru the roof.Ammo prices in the gun stores have always been obsene, but my national suppliers have stayed the same. This is for the 38 special,9mm Luger,22 cal rimfire, and 380 cal that I shoot. When the "Obamanation" takes power I really do not think the situation for us gun owners will really change. His "Collation"will have his actions drawn to the middle in this regard.Para.....Sorry I made a political statement but it is in direct response to the content of this thread and no ill intent was meant........God Bless......Mike

From what I've seen locally in Houston, I
haven't seen a whole lot of change in pistols.
IE: the usual for a sigma is $329 or so at
Academy, but supposedly they are on sale for
$299 right now. M&P prices seem to be about the
same as usual, but I haven't kept a very close
watch. Ammo? That I don't know yet.

I need to run over the wally world where I get
most of mine as see what the deal is.
I'm almost afraid to look. It could go three
ways.. They are all sold out, they have stock,
but the prices have been jacked up, or, maybe
nothing has changed much.. Dunno..
I refuse to get sucked up in all this frenzy
buying, so I haven't bought a thing yet.
Not even any ammo lately. Why? Because ammo
prices should actually be slowly dropping due
to the drop in metal prices. So you know if
prices are jacked up, it's due to pure greed
rather than actual bumps in wholesale costs.
When the frenzy calms down, then I might start
looking around. I refuse to be a part of it
myself. Helps fuel greed more than anything.

Hard tellin' 'cause I've pretty much stopped buyin' firearms - 'cept for the Beretta 391 I'm waiting for Bud's to ship, and a Glock model 20SF that should be available in Janaury.

I did get a NIB Allied Forces SW9VE a month ago for $305.00...and got my rebate magazines from Smith in less than 4 weeks...

I am going to the Hampton Gun Show tomorrow for some Georgia Arms ammo...so I'll naturally take a peek at the price of hardware as well..

The Hampton, VA gun show was crazy today. Hundreds of people waiting in line to buy a ticket...we used to be able to walk right up and buy one and stroll in. The line was just as long when I left as it was when I got there.

Some prices look to be rising, but only by the typical gougers. Georgia Arms was swamped, and I felt lucky to grab a few hundred rounds of 180 grain 10mm...

The other thing I wanted other than 10mm ammo was some AR15 Pmags...no luck with those, of course...

Same at our shows here in S.W. Ohio last two weekends, LOOOOONG lines waiting to get in ,lots of newbies.......same when I left 4 hours later.

Has anyone else noticed a serious spike in Sigma prices? They seem to have risen from an average of around $300 to an average of over $350 in the last month.

Yes, they must be considered "assault pistols". Not long ago they were $299, now the cheapest vendors are asking $359 for NIB Sigmas. I want a green one - SOMEDAY - my wife was looking over my shoulder, again.
