How long is the backlog?

Hi Folks,
Brand new to this forum. I ordered an M&P .40c a month ago from a local gun shop who didn't have any in stock.
Nothing yet.
Anyone have a feel for how long I will have to wait?

That depends on where the shop order's their guns from.

What area of the country do you live in? There are several shops here in my area that have them.I live in Ohio and they are going for $479.99 here near my house.I know of about 3-4 shops that have them in.

Let me explain how the order process works where I work. We don't order anything from the mfr's, because unless you're a huge chain of stores, you don't deal factory direct. We deal with distributors. While we can call them & request certain guns, it usually works the other way. They call us & tell us what they have, & we take it, as they might not call again for a few weeks. So we basically have to take & sell what they offer us. Yeah, sometimes they have what we want, but usually we take what they offer us. GARY
