Trying to figure out how many differnt barrel lengths they made for the 65-2. I have a 65-2 with serial starting with 7d58, and from what i can tell it was built in 1977.( could be wrong). Was just wondering if they made different barrel lengths on the 65-2 or not? Mine is the 3 inch version.

That number dates to 1980 according to the Catalog.
The M65, and it's carbon steel twin, the M13 were only made with 3" and 4" barrels.

Thank you. Makes sense because I also have a 65-1 thats a 4inch. lol I didnt know that was all they made of the 65..Thanks a ton!

That 3" one is a mighty desirable revolver. Especially a pinned and recessed one.
I have a 3" M13-2 that is a great carry gun. Always wanted a 3" M65. If you check prices they are sky high.
Show a pic if you can.

Will certanly do. I emailed the pic from my phone to originally post it, but it hasnt came through for some reason lol. The 3 inch model was my mothers who is retired law enforcement. The 4 inch model 65-1 was my grandfathers who is also retired law enforcement. My mother Retired in 2003, and my grandfather in 1997 both from department of correction probation and parole. My mom knew that i wanted hers, so she told me last fall to find her a smaller one for conceal carry and we could trade. I definetly got the better deal. She ended up with my model 438 airwieght. I own several guns and these two model 65 smith and wessons are by far my favorite on account of the history. Sorry for such a long reply. Will post a pic as soon as i figure out how.
