how many guns is too many?

Any time you cannot stop and count up all the guns you own, you have too many. Some of you smarter fellers get to own a lot of them. The rest of us just a few. I don't give my guns names like some do, but I do know exactly how many of each make and caliber and barrel length that I have at any given time.

I always love when they catch some criminal and say he had nine guns and three thousand rounds of ammo like that is a lot. LOL Poor guy was under armed if anything.

You just violated the #1 rule of buying guns. Don't count them, no good can come from it. And the the #2 rule, too. Don't ever tell anyone how many. It can be used against you. If you have this overwhelming urge to use numbers, employ some common sense. Like "I'm not up to 100 yet".

A couple of cowboys were riding across the desert and were desperately thirtsty. Their canteens were empty and they hadn't seen water for some time.

Suddenly they came upon a watering hole. Of course their horses were thirsty as well and waded into the water to drink, stirring up the mud. One cowboy went to the far side of the watering hole where the water was still clear but the other one just plopped right down between the horses.

"More than I'll ever need, but not nearly as many as I want." Zell Miller said that about his gun collection and I feel the same way about mine. I bought my first gun in November of 2011. I now have 7 and I'm adding another one in about two weeks. I try to only buy about two or three a year now.

You might have too many guns when you buy the largest safe they sell and your wife sees it's overflowing. That's what she says anyhow and sold 5 and traded for one to make her happy. She still thinks I own too many and I remind her I sold 5 so now I'm able to slip a few back in without her noticing so much.
I never have counted my guns either as that would take the fun out of it. As I get older I'll likely sell some off but I'll continue to buy or trade for what I still want now.

Heck, I've three of those Russian tomato-stakes (Mosin 91/30s) and the rounds for them. One's a generic rifle, one's an ex-PEM sniper and the third is a re-snipered PU. Good think that the prices went up before I really got going on them.
