Here's a few pics of my 66-5 with Meprolights:

I set this up for carry quite a few years ago, and I can't remember seeing ANY other revolvers, either for sale or carried by colleagues or friends, that have tritium sights for low-light firing on them. Took me quite a while to find a local dealer that had some to fit a K-frame......

Some of the Lew Horton or S&W specials over the years, if I remember correctly, just had the front sight with a tritium vial, but NOT the REAR. Seems to be abundant on a lot of autos, but why the lack of night sights on revolvers? I couldn't FIND one, so I MADE one..... :D

I have a lew horton 66-3 with them on. They have gone dim for a long time now.

I have Heinies on a Glock 36 and Meprolites on a Colt Series 70. Love them!! I also have a set on a Glock 19 I bought a few years ago, but they've been on so long they don't glow. I use it during the day. All these are autos, not revolvers, however.

Having carried a 642 for a while I always wished it had easier to use sights. When the M&P340 came out I got one. Nice big dot up front with tritium, I can even see it without my glasses on.

I recently purchased a used 351PD (7 shot .22 magnum) and replaced the fiber optic front sight with a Mepro.

I have "big Dot" night sights on my 640-1 and 337. I have night sights on every pistol/revolver I routinely carry for serious purposes. I may never use them but I prefer to have and not need than need and not have. I find that either J frame with the night sight and laser grips is a great self-defense tool. I like having options and flexibility for various possible situations that one may encounter. The sights and lasers don't take the place of proper techniques and practice...They just give one more options that may be very useful.

Me too... Front sight on my 386NG... Thinking about adding them to the rear...

I had to look and see what was on my "in the city" carry gun. A 637 dont think I've ever used them. They are stock.

I found with my (maturing) eyesight, I need every advantage I can afford, so I have tritium on everything I own and as an added feature, installed crimson trace on all my pistols as well. Even my new S&W Body Guard coming in later this week will have a tritium front sight installed as soon as I get it to my gunsmith.

Remember the first fast accurate shot goes home, and that needs to be you!

Just my opinion,
Brent
