How many of you guys use Talon Grips?

Sorry but never found a need for any grip aid add on on my m&p even with underwood hot 40sw loads .

I did have the granulate texture Talon grips on my original Shield and liked it. I haven't felt the need to do so on my M&P 2.0s or my Shield Plus since they've got more aggressive grip texture from the factory.

I've found that a small strip or two of the 3M tread tape made for something like ladder rungs is an excellent enhancement without all the real estate covered by Talon grips. It available on Amazon, a roll will last a lifetime, stays put but comes off cleanly.

That sounds like a good idea. Could you post a link to the exact product you use?

I put Talon grips on my firearms only when I'm not comfortable with the grip on a new firearm. I have 2 Talon grips, 1 on my Barrette 9mm APX, and 1 on my KelTec Sub2K 9mm carbine. The APX OEM grip is way too aggressive for me, the Sub2K OEM grip was too slippery and short for my hands.

I have a CZ 9mm that is a bit aggressive also. I've been thinking about putting one on that too.

Having said the above, my S&W M&P EZ shield 9mm is the perfect fit and grip, "for me", that I've ever had, it's 2nd to my PSA Dagger! (S&W is single stack and more comfortable to wear in my belly band and easier to conceal)

TT

Interesting. That's the first time I've heard of someone using a Talon to REDUCE the aggressiveness of a grip. Makes sense though.

I have the Talon Black Rubber Grips on my Shield 9 1.0 going on 10 years now. I followed Talon's installation instructions and have no problems of any kind so far. They have worked well for my XL hands, giving me just enough size increase to shoot accurately and efficiently. YMMV
