How much ammo do you need?

We've had a rash of thefts in certain areas of NC off people's front porches after UPS or whomever drops the box and leaves.

These crooks uses these pickups with meat coolers on back...sales people truck, often with a bogus name and number on doors to give the appearance they belong in the neighborhood selling something.

They grab and go, often follow a UPS or Fed Ex truck around.

I only buy from places that can ship to a local store for this very reason.... AND it's free!

As to the hypothetical corpses lying in a front yard, it'd be best to get them quickly buried. Otherwise they'd only result in a overwhelming stench and possible disease. As well people looking for possible targets to loot would likely figure that so many corpses indicated a local where there was a cache of firearms, ammo, food, fuel, etc.

That's the advantage of a decent centerfire rifle. I'd never let them get to my yard. They can rot down the road 100 or more yards.

Just for fun, watch Quigley down under. Pay special attention to the part where he waits all day for two targets to align, then center punches the two with one shot. Being a looter or rioter can get dangerous if you're in a group. Might just be someone who wants to save on ammo.

Lost all mine in a Jeep accident last year. Jeep rolled everything went down a mine shaft except the Jeep. Mine collapsed dumping several hundred tons of rock and dirt down the shaft covering everything up and being on BLM land they won't let me dig it all up. Not to mention that at my age I'd probably die before I got that done anyway.

By the way I don't have a boat.

I don't NEED a lot of ammo... but if I'm out at a store that sells ammo, I always pick up 2 boxes of each caliber I own. I slowly build up... I don't go buy 9,999,999 rounds all at once like some on here do... well, when I got my AK I bought 5,000 rounds from a Russian website and I have 4,000 rounds left.

The only thing I hoard is wood.... to me nothing beats laying around on a cold day watching movies, being lazy, and burning wood in the fireplace.... I LOVE the smell.
